Fun Mini Pizzas for Kids in the Kitchen
What kid doesn't like pizza? And, what kid doesn't like helping out in the kitchen? These mini pizzas are awesome because they are quick, easy and inexpensive. Plus, they are so simple, your children can easily make them on their own. We all know how much kids love making their own food.

Quick and Easy Green Salsa Pork Tacos
This is a very easy recipe for green salsa pork tacos. Although it isn't the most gourmet of meals, it's perfect for days when you're going to be out running errands or have limited time to cook dinner. Plus, the entire family loves it, even the kids because it's not too hot.

Tater Tot Casserole
Tater Tot Casserole isn't the most gourmet of meals; however, it's quick, easy, inexpensive, filling, and the kids love it. In fact, it's the only way I can get 2 of the 4 kids to eat broccoli without complaining.

Homemade Popsicles for a Cool Summer
I don't know about your family, but in my house we go through a ton of popsicles during the summer. Every day after lunch, each child gets a popsicle. Although they aren't the most expensive of treats, the cost certainly adds up, especially when you're raising big families. Plus, I hate buying popsicles from the store, which are loaded with sugar and preservatives. Instead, we started making our own homemade popsicles. The kids love making their own popsicles, and I love that I know what ingredients are in them.

Cooking for a Big Family: Keeping tummies full
When raising a large family, meal time is a battle. Feeding a large family takes A LOT of food, and the need only grows as the children grow. Just when you're through cooking, 5 minutes later someone is hungry again. And, if you're like me when cooking for a big family, I either make way too much or not enough. Luckily, I have found a few inexpensive ways to make meals go further and to keep tummies full and happy.

Grilled Asparagus
My family loves asparagus, so we eat it quite often. Usually, we steam the asparagus, but a few nights ago we wanted to try something different. Since we were barbecuing, we thought, "why not throw it on the grill?" It turned out to be the BEST way yet! It turned out so good even the kids wanted more.
